Attraction Overview:
Living with the Land
This narrator-led boat ride takes guests through various eco-systems of our planet, such as the Amazon rainforest, desert, and western prairie. The journey continues through the greenhouses where Disney World scientists showcase innovative methods for growing crops. Highlights include unusual plants like jackfruit, fluted pumpkins, tomatoes growing from trees, and ten-pound lemons. Technological advancements featured are hydroponics (growing plants with limited water) and aeroponics (growing plants without soil).
Circle of Life
This thirteen-minute film stars Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa from The Lion King and focuses on the balance between humans and nature. Timon wants to build his Hakuna Matata Resort but overlooks its environmental impact. Simba contrasts this with mankind’s similar neglect of environmental responsibility.
