Retired Attractions - Stitch's Great Escape: Attraction Overview

This attraction is based on the animated film Lilo & Stitch and features the most sophisticated audio-animatronic characters ever created by Walt Disney Imagineering. Stitch’s Great Escape invites guests to join The Galactic Federation’s security division. Your mission is to help capture Stitch after Experiment 626 goes haywire. The attraction uses binaural sound to create the illusion that Stitch is talking directly to you.

The main theaters of this show have been used in three different attractions: Mission to Mars, Alien Encounter, and the current version, Stitch’s Great Escape.

The ending of this attraction was changed after early previews, the original ending featured Stitch on the Astro Orbiter attraction.

It’s interesting that Stitch refers to himself as Stitch, considering the attraction takes place before the movie and Stitch hasn’t yet meant Lilo who named him in the film.
