Overview of Epcot and Day One Planning Guide
Epcot Overview
Epcot is divided into four main sections: World Discovery, World Nature, World Celebration, and the World Showcase. World Discovery focuses on space exploration and innovation, World Nature highlights environmental conservation, World Celebration revolves around future technologies, and World Showcase presents diverse cultures in a world fair-like setting.
Day One – Front of Epcot
Arrive at Epcot before the 9 am opening to make the most of your day. Start with the popular attractions like Cosmic Rewind, Frozen Ever After, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Test Track. Secure a Lightning Lane for these rides at 7 am to avoid long waits. Enjoy breakfast at Connections Eatery and grab coffee at the cafe.
For additional excitement, consider visiting Soarin’ and Mission: Space, though be aware of potential motion sickness from Mission: Space. Discover The Seas with Nemo and Friends, and don’t miss Club Cool for free international Coca-Cola samples, including the famous Beverly from Italy.
For lunch, dine at Garden Grill with Chip and Dale. Use the single rider lane for Test Track and grab a virtual queue for Cosmic Rewind at 1 pm if needed. Enjoy a performance by the Jammiters and browse Cosmic Rewind merchandise. End your day with a reservation at Space 220 if possible.

Upon opening, choose a direction to explore the World Showcase, which is arranged around the World Showcase Lagoon. Begin at one end and make your way around the lagoon. Utilize the My Disney Experience app to check show times, meet and greets, and Genie+ reservations.
Don’t Miss Attractions
In the World Showcase, enjoy the Voices of Liberty performing folk and Americana songs as part of The American Adventure. Street performers, such as mimes in Italy and acrobats in China, add vibrant energy to each pavilion.
Evening Entertainment and Final Tips
Evening Entertainment
Cap off your day by watching Harmonious, Epcot’s spectacular nighttime laser light and fireworks show. The best viewing spots are in the center of the lagoon, and people start reserving spots an hour in advance, so grab a treat and find your place early.
Epcot is expansive, but with two days, you can thoroughly enjoy its attractions and discover hidden gems. Keep track of time but allow yourself flexibility to explore and experience all that Epcot has to offer.
