Tips for Eating at Disney World on the Run
If you desire to eat in fancy (expensive) restaurants, we suggest going at lunchtime, rather than at dinner; entrees often cost a bit less at the midday meal. Some restaurants also offer great discounts if you eat during off peak hours (2pm-4:30pm).
Sometimes certain Epcot eateries have early-bird dinner deals; it pays to ask. Sometimes these restaurants offer buy 1 entrée get 1 free. We recommend eating early. Between the hours of 5 pm and 7pm the lines to ride the rides at Disney World are less busy during these hours. Bring a backpack with you on your Disney World Vacation Packages and put a few snacks, and frozen water in it. The waters will melt during the day and provide you with nice cold water. A souvenir mug can be purchased at most resorts, good for refills during your stay at the resort. The Trail’s End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness has an inexpensive, yet satisfying all-you-can-eat country breakfast buffet. Look for hotels which offer Free breakfast, this will save you quite a bit of money. Don’t plan on eating three big table-service meals a day. It gets expensive–and filling!

Look for a hotel with Free Breakfast, this will save you a lot of money. Plus when you eat a huge breakfast you are less hungry throughout the day.
All our Orlando vacation homes, vacation condos, and town homes all have fully functional kitchens complete with stoves, ovens, microwaves, pots, pans, dishes and silverware. By staying in a vacation home you will save yourself hundreds of dollars by eating at the house. Just think about it, if you have 5 people in your party and you go to McDonalds everyday for breakfast this is going to cost you around $10 per person or $50 each day. For the same $50 you can buy a lot of breakfast food at the grocery store- eggs, bacon, cereal, coffee, bagels, etc. This $50 will feed your entire family for the week or you could go to McDonalds and pay them $350 ($50 times 7) to feed your family breakfast for the week.
Most the Holiday Inn’s in Orlando offer a Kids Eat Free program. Two children eat free for every paying adult for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Eating around Orlando
Eat small meals in the park and larger meals outside of the parks before and after your visit. Just outside of Disney World and Universal Studios there are literally hundreds of chain restaurants. By eating at these restaurants as compared to the restaurants inside the parks you will save a lot of money.
Eating at SeaWorld
