Wildlife Express to Conservation Station at the Animal Kingdom Theme Park

A short train ride takes you partway through the 100-acre savanna, where you'll catch glimpses of some of the same animals you'll see on the Kilimanjaro Safaris. Your destination is Rafiki's Planet Watch. As you ride the train, keep your camera handy as there are some excellent photo opportunities along the way including a look behind-the-scenes of the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction. The round-trip train ride to and from Conservation Station is 1.2 miles long.

Rafiki's Planet Watch is small area of Disney's Animal Kingdom dedicated to the care and treatment of many of the animals in the park. The centerpiece of Rafiki's Planet Watch is Conservation Station which houses exhibits and displays about the animals. Of special note is the opportunity to look in on the vetinarian care of animals as operations are performed within guest view. There's also Song of the Rainforest, which is a 3-D sound experience that is very impressive. Visitors may control in-park cameras to get views of the park's creatures.

There is no minimum height requirement.

The last train leaves Harambe Station at 4:30.

Age: Attraction Review:

ages 2-4: Some of the exhibits may be of interest for young children, but most are geared toward older audiences.

ages 5-10: Kids who are interested in zoology will love the exhibits.

ages 11-15: Pre-teens and teens might find some of the exhibits interesting, but unless they have deep interest in zoology the attraction may not be worth the time it takes to visit. Save until after you've visited the other major attractions first.

ages 16-adult: While nice, this attraction is mostly expendable for adults unless they have a deep interest in zoology. Save until after you've visited the other major attractions first.
