Universal Studios Accessible for Guest with Disabilities ♿️
Universal Studios Orlando offer different options when it comes to a family needing accessibility during their visit to the park. Wheelchairs and scooters can be rented directly through the parks or through local third party companies who can deliver these items to the parks. None of the rides except Hogwarts Express can accommodate a motored scooter. There will be a cast member at the entrance of rides who can assist you from your mobility scooter to their wheelchair. Once you get to the front of the line of the ride, the cast member will help you transfer over to the ride. After the ride is complete, the member will be able to once again assist you back in the wheelchair. Universal Studios also has what is called an Attraction Assistance Pass that you can get near the front of the park in Guest Relations. They will issue this pass for someone who has a cognitive or physical disability that does not allow them to stand in line for long periods of time. It will be a paper ticket with a barcode that cast members will scan at the ride and is good for up to five family members in the party to use. If the wait time is typically low for a ride, the cast member will have your party walk through the Express line to avoid a long wait. The more popular rides that have a wait time longer than 30 minutes, a team member will write a return time on the back of the AAP ticket. You can return at that time to skip past the regular line.Universal Studios Events

Universal’s Volcano Bay does offer wheelchair rentals on a first come first serve basis. If someone in your party does require a wheelchair or motorized scooter, they will be required to transfer to a manual wheelchair. On the raft rides, guests are required to be independent of putting themselves on the raft and being able to exit the pool. Volcano Bay requires all riders to wear watch-like technology, known as Tapu Tapu. When you arrive at a ride, you will see a computer that will show the current wait time for the slide. You will scan your Tapu Tapu that will then alert you when it is time to arrive at the ride. This is perfect technology for family members who have cognitive and physical disabilities preventing them from standing in longer lines. ?
