Magic Kingdom - Swiss Family Treehouse

Swiss Family Tree House at Magic Kingdom

Inspired by the 1960 Disney film Swiss Family Robinson, this is a giant tree house that guests of all ages are welcome to climb and explore. You'll find a kitchen, library, bedrooms and a family room. Of particular interest is the water wheel, which pulls water up to the top of the tree where it's dumped into an elaborate plumbing system of bamboo shoots. There are also some great views of the park, including a nice look at Cinderella Castle.

Note: It may seem like a great idea, but watching the Wishes fireworks from the treehouse is not advisable as the branches block much of the view.

There is no height requirement for this ride.

Age: Attraction Review:

ages 2-4: While many small children enjoy the treehouse, keep in mind that there are a lot of steps and you might have to carry the little ones.

ages 5-10: Kids love exploring this fantasy treehouse, especially since it is a line-free attraction.

ages 11-15: Pre-teens and teens generally enjoy this attraction.

ages 16-adult: The impressive detail of the attraction provides interest for adults, but some dislike having to climb the 127 steps.

senior citizens: While the attraction has some nice touches, in general, most seniors don't find climbing the 127 steps worth it.

Disney Tip

This attraction never generates a line and is great to visit in the middle of the day when most rides have long lines.
