One of the best things about Universal Studios Orlando events is you get to experience something new all year round. For instance, if you schedule your trip around spring, you'll get to experience live concerts with a colorful parade and lots of beads. When the holidays roll around, it's time for the family fun of Grinchmas with a terrific live show starring The Grinch and the Macy's holiday parade.
However, If you're visiting around fall (best time of the year) you'll get a chance to experience Universal Orlando's best special event i-e Halloween Horror Nights. Now, you might be wondering what makes this event so special. Well, this annual event with world-class theming and horrifying haunts has something to offer everyone.
With three decades of experience to draw from, HHN offers two flashy live shows, five sinister scare zones, and ten terror-filled haunted houses. Its ghastly creatures and menacing maniacs jump out at you when you least suspect it, giving you an experience of a lifetime (be warned, however, this is not an event for young children or easily frightened adults).
Nonetheless, if you're not a horror fan, its thrilling rides, mouth-watering pizza fries, and interesting merchandise will keep you hooked and entertained throughout the event. Without further ado, let’s take a quick run down of what makes HHN so special.

Live Shows at Universal Studios Orlando Events
HHN projects two spectacular live shows every year that are flashy and fun to watch and also quite relaxing and entertaining as these shows let you take a break from terror and screams. Both these shows take place in different locations featuring different ideas and themes. Let's look at what this year has in store for us.
Halloween Nightmare Fuel: Wildfire
The sequel to last year's fan-favorite show featuring the world-famous performance group the 'fuel girls' is back. You heard it. The show highlights a new dreamer in the depths of a nightmare set to a heart-pounding metal rock and electronica score. We wouldn't make the mistake of comparing it to bill & ted though, so neither should you!
Ghoulish: A Halloween Tale
This is an all-new show taking place in the Universal Studios Lagoon that follows the Grim Reaper on the undertaking of what happens beyond the grave, all said to eerily remixed music by some of today's most iconic artists. This show will tell you a story that you'll never forget.
Sinister Scare Zones at Universal Studios Orlando Events
With the legacy of displaying five scare zones throughout Universal Studios, HHN has returned with its 10th edition featuring a classic Halloween theme. The terrifying street experiences, aka scare zones, have their unique subject matter with night creatures coming out of nowhere. These magnificent scare zones are one-of-a-kind. Let's take a shriek peak at this year's sinister zones.
Conjure the Dark
Located in the San Francisco area of the park, an evil sorceress is summoning storms and demons from various dimensions to create the first all hallows eve, aka Halloween. You'll find a little basket with the skulls and trinkets in conjure the dark to make things blend in with the theme.
Sweet Revenge
This scare zone is located in the New York area of the park and is based in 1950s Halloween town, where the guy on the big old truck named Major Sweets is throwing a party. The guy gives out candy to the kids, which turns them into psycho killers, where the kids kill all the grown-ups in the town. This one is a must-visit.
Scarecrow: Cursed Soil
This area is based on one of our favorite haunted houses, scarecrow. Located in the central park area, you'll go through a dilapidated farm with an entrance to the barn stage. Some decorations include outhouses, wooden fences, and a barn representing a perfect haunted house.
Horrors of Halloween
Located right at the park's entrance called 'avenue of the stars, the horrors of Halloween will give you a taste of all the scare zones spread throughout the park. The monsters in these scare zones are actually the characters from all the different scare zones. With this return, the fan-favorite character' pumpkin lord' from the wicked growth realm of pumpkin. Pumpkin lord will be displayed at the entrance beckoning people in for an unofficial mascot.
Graveyard: Deadly Unrest
Settled in a nettle wood cemetery in the Hollywood area, the deadly graveyard unrest is one of the spookiest scare zones with frightening ghosts and webs. You'll go through this scare zone twice during your trip, so giddy up!
Haunted Houses at Universal Studios Orlando Events
Imagining HHN without haunted houses is just practically impossible. Each year, these ‘movie-set quality’ recreational haunted locations grab thousands of tourists worldwide. Just like the past few years, Universal has announced ten haunted houses (6 originals and 4 intellectual property) for 2022’s Halloween night event. These include;
