Universal Orlando Reveals Details for 2012 Halloween Horror Nights

Is it a game? Is it a movie? That's what you'll be asking yourself this fall as Universal Orlando presents a haunted maze based on the popular video game Silent Hill. The game is definitely creepy enough to suit Orlando's scariest Halloween event, and should set the stage for the rest of the evening.

Silent Hill Logo Creey Silent Hill is comint to Orlando this fall.

Fans of the Silent Hill series from Konami will already have an idea what to expect -- the game features psychological scares galore, and creepy characters are just about everywhere. Deformed nurses? Check. Executioner? Check. You'll find these iconic characters -- and plenty more-- at Halloween Horror Nights this year. With over 7 million games sold, 100 million+ in movie sales and both comic books and graphic novels, Silent Hill is expected to lure a whole new crowd of devoted viewers to the park. The timing of Halloween Horror Nights is set to coincide with the theater release of the film sequel, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D this fall.

With over 20 scary years, Universal's Halloween Horror Nights set the bar very high for seasonal entertainment. This is a teens and adults only event that requires a separate admission ticket to get in. Kids under 13 are absolutely not admitted, and costumes are not allowed to avoid confusion (the event features costumed, roaming street performers).

Universal's most popular holiday offering runs throughout the month of October, and the park will be closed to non-event guests the nights of the party. You should buy your tickets in advance if you want to attend; some nights book up quickly, particularly those that are close to Halloween nights itself. Expect to pay about $60 for a single night ticket, and about $100 for a 15 night package.
