A Dad’s Guide to Universal Studios Tickets – Which One is Best?
As a father taking your kids to Universal Studios, one of your first decisions is which type of ticket to buy. There’s a great blog that breaks down the options over at a Dad’s Guide to WDW, but we’ve taken the most pertinent info and simplified it for you below.
So which ticket is right for you? It all depends on how many days you want to spend at the parks and whether or not you want to visit both parks. Each has something unique to offer, and there are rides and shows for all ages at both parks.
1-Day Tickets
If you’re only planning to head to Universal for a single day, then you’ll want 1-day tickets. There are 2 options: buy a ticket to a single park, or buy a ticket that gives you access to both parks on the same day. There is about a $40 difference to add the 2-parks in 1-day option, compared to buying a ticket that gets you into a single park.2-Day Tickets
Your options here are essentially the same: buy a 2-day ticket that gives you unlimited access to both parks, or buy a 2-day ticket that gives you entry to a single park per day. You could choose the latter and visit Islands of Adventure one day and Universal the other, or you visit the same park on both days.Longer Tickets
There are a number of longer ticket options, starting with 3-day 1-park per day tickets, and running all the way up to 14-day unlimited tickets.Tickets With Extras
You may also add a variety of tickets that include additional attractions like Wet ‘N Wild and SeaWorld. These can offer a substantial savings off buying each ticket separately.
CityWalk Tickets
CityWalk is an area outside Universal with restaurants, shops, and live entertainment. It’s free to visit, but some activities require special tickets. To get the PartyPass you’ll pay $12.77 at the gate, or buy your ticket from us and pay just $8.90.Discount Tickets
