Howl-O-Scream At Busch Gardens Returns For More Frightening Fun

What is Howl-O-Scream?

Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens is an annual Fall event located in Tampa, Florida. If you haven't guessed, this is a horror festival that is recommended for guests at least 12 years old.

 

Events Happening During Howl-O-Scream:

There are plenty of rides at night that would normally have a longer wait time. Since this is a ticketed event separate from general admission to Busch Gardens Tampa, you will experience some haunting attractions.

 

Night Rides:

Falcon's Fury: Enjoy some of the best views from over 300 feet away on your next Orlando Vacation! On this trip, the falcon picks you up slowly before leaning you forward. This will get you an amazing glimpse of Tampa and Busch Gardens before he quickly drops you back to the ground.

Sheikra: On of the biggest roller coasters in the game, you will travel 70 miles per hour at a 90-degree incline. Sheikra will show you why the attractions at Howl-O-Scream Busch Gardens are as thrilling as a haunted house. Since I am personally not a fan of haunted houses, this is the perfect alternative to get my adrenaline pumping without the heart attack.

Cheetah Hunt: With three entrances and the longest trail in the theme park, Cheetah Hunt will make you appreciate the majestic animals that give its name. You will be emulating the challenge of hunting cheetahs without getting eaten, we hope!

Tigers: One of Busch Gardens Tampa's newest roller coasters, this ride highlights the strength and power of tigers. It takes you forward, backward, and backward again until you realize you're lost in the jungle.

When Should I Visit Howl-O-Scream?

On select nights below:

September: 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26

October: 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30, 31

In September, Howl-O-Scream Busch Gardens will be available from 10 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Thursday nights will also begin in October. If you are concerned about crowds, it is best to go in September before the Halloween season begins.

While in Florida, it does remain hot year-round so September is more likely to be warmer than October. Weekends are going to be the busiest and most expensive nights of the event, but they are open one hour longer than weeknights.
