10 Things To Do in Orlando in Feb

February is an excellent time to visit Orlando. Not only are the crowds lower throughout most of the month, but there are tons of things to do in Orlando Florida. Check out some of the most unique options before you start planning the Orlando vacation of your dreams.



1. Universal Studios Mardi Gras Celebration

One of the best things to do in Orlando during February is to check out their incredible Universal Studios Mardi Gras celebration. This New Orleans-inspired party begins on February 3^rd and runs all the way through the first week of April. Expect Cajon and Creole food, unique street performers, a street parade, and of course tons of beads being tossed. On select nights you can even enjoy world-famous musicians:

2. The Osceola County Fair

Just a short drive from Orlando into Kissimmee, the Osceola County Fair is a great day trip. You’ll find the typical county fair fare, including rides, games, and truck and tractor pulls. Of course, there will be livestock shows as well, not to mention a lot of entertainment options. Try to visit on a Friday to take place in a live Karaoke Concert.

The fair takes place from February 9^th through the 18^th. Daily admission is just $5 for adults, $3 for kids from 5-11, and free for kids under 4.

3. The SeaWorld Seven Seas Food Festival

Beginning on February 17^th and running through April 15^th, every Saturday and Sunday in Orlando brings an incredible food festival. You’ll see 13 different theme markets, each representing a different country. Each one has unique food and a drink special. They’ll have live music too, which includes ZZ Top, Styx, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Village People, and more. This is free with the purchase of regular park admission.

4. Pioneer Days

On February 24^th and 25^th you can check out Orlando’s 45^th annual Pioneer Days. Head out to Cypress Grove Park to learn all about local. The theme for 2018 is “Land of Fair Waters,” and attractions will include historic demonstrations, morning parades, quilting, basketry, and storytelling. It may not be one of the more exciting things to do in Orlando, but it’s a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.

5. The Disney Princess Half Marathon

The weekend of February 22^nd to the 25^th is the Disney Princess Half Marathon. This race is designed for women but anyone can participate. There are many events, including the Disney Royal Family 5K, Fit for a Princess Expo, Disney Enchanted 10K, and of course the main event, the Disney’s Princess Half Marathon. Those running the half marathon get to go through the Magic Kingdom and Epcot Center, high-fiving characters as they go.

6. The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

Visitors looking for things to do in Orlando during the end of the month will want to check out the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. It begins on February 28^th and runs through May 28^th. With more than 100 topiaries throughout the park, including six-foot-tall Disney World characters and unique flower displays. There are also tons of kiosks offering unique foods and beverages. Be sure to check out the Urban Farm Eats booth for a taste of locally grown food. The festival itself is included in admission to Epcot but the food and beverages cost extra.

7. Praise Wave at SeaWorld Orlando

Christians may want to check out Praise Wave, which happens every Saturday morning beginning on January 20^th and running through February 10^th. There they can celebrate fellowship with live music and special events.

8. Take A Trip To Gatorland

Gatorland refers to itself as the gator capital of the world, and we’re not going to argue. If you’re looking for things to do in Orlando that are truly unique, then you won’t want to miss this ten-acre theme park. You’ll see thousands of crocodiles, alligators, birds, bobcats, and even panthers. Adventure-seekers won’t want to miss the 2500 foot Screamin’ Gator Zip Line.

9. Race The Kids at Fun Spot America

There are two Fun Spot America locations within Orlando and both feature everything from VR roller coasters to screamer rides, from cadet tracks to mine blower roller coasters, from bumper boats to an incredible ride called the “Head Rush 360.” And of course, don’t forget to race the kids on their coveted go-cart tracks!

10. Get Great Bargains at Orlando Outlet Stores

Those whose idea of a great time is saving big on name-brand merchandise will love an afternoon at one of the numerous Orlando outlet stores. Stock up on clothes and shoes, or go to the Disney outlet and get all your souvenirs for a deep discount.
