Revenge of the Fifth?
For our Star Wars aficionados, our themed holidays continue. Today may very well be your chance to step over to the dark side. Don’t agree? Then bring out those lightsabers and challenge us to a dual.
Or you can take a ride on the most epic attraction, ahem, space adventure you’ve ever seen. The Rise of the Resistance is cutting edge in every way, and the first ride of its kind. It mixes thrills with video and audio effects to create a life-like simulation. You’ll join the resistance and battle the Dark side.
All theme parks are allowing guests to a certain capacity. Disney requires reservations for all its parks, which could put a bit of a damper on the day if your little stormtroopers don’t have a reservation. So, make sure to have your dates reserved in advance, as these are separate from your vacation package. Though once you have the tickets, there is no extra cost to book a reservation, it’s just an additional step needed due to covid guidelines. Read our article for more info on theme park reservations.
For most of us, I think we just consider it another day to keep celebrating our favorite franchise. If you’re vacationing in the parks, grab your Walt Disney World tickets here and don’t forget to your lightsaber and reservation, and if you’re staying home… well, just don’t get too comfortable… the light side needs as many Jedi’s as it can get.
However, you choose to celebrate, or not celebrate… we hope you have a fun and safe revenge of the fifth.
The Saga Continues
Today is a chance to continue the movie binge you started yesterday or the themed crafts you printed from the websites we listed in our blog yesterday. Or maybe you’re on vacation, and this is your second day at Hollywood Studios journeying to Galaxy’s Edge. We want to remind you that there’s still plenty to do at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, like be a smuggler for Hondo Ohnaka and pilot the Millennium Falcon. That’s right, THE Millennium Falcon, located in the heart of Batuu, Aka: Galaxy’s Edge.Or you can take a ride on the most epic attraction, ahem, space adventure you’ve ever seen. Reservations
While this ride might be the highlight of your trip, and one you’ve been looking forward to, it can be tricky to get on board. That’s why we suggest that you make a reservation for the ride as soon as you know you’ll be vacationing in Orlando at Disney's Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. As long as you have a reservation for the park, you can join the virtual queue for the ride via the My Disney Experience app. Which reminds us, join the dark side and make sure when booking your vacation that you link your tickets and make reservations for the park before you get to Orlando. All theme parks are allowing guests to a certain capacity. Revenge of the Fifth Origins
A little history to our Star Wars-themed observance which we started celebrating yesterday. You can say it started with a pun, and continued onto today, considering how close Revenge of the Sith sounds like Revenge of the fifth, though some fans argue it should be the sixth which makes more sense. Since it immediately follows Star Wars day, fans of the long-running franchise like to celebrate the Sith Lords, giving us Geeks a chance to cross over to the dark side, if only for a day.For most of us, I think we just consider it another day to keep celebrating our favorite franchise.
