New Rides at Disney World and Imagineering 2021

Disney World stands out for keeping its parks cool, fun, and entertaining! This year was no exception as the park was full of activity. With that in mind, it's time to discuss what's new at Disney World theme parks and what's next.

Disney parks are constantly changing as they add new attractions and redesign old attractions.

Epcot

Although the park has undergone major changes in the years leading up to its 40th anniversary, Epcot still took the time to introduce a few new surprises.

World Celebration Pavilion

This is also the perfect place to enjoy an evening show in the garden. A Journey into Imagination with Figment is the third and latest incarnation of a dark attraction in the imagination! Pavilion on the west side of Future World (now renamed World Celebration)

Epcot Forever

Travel through Epcot's past, present and future during this limited-time fireworks display.

Awesome Planet

In the Land Pavilion, this film explores the spectacular beauty, diversity, and dynamic history of the earth with theatrical effects such as wind, smell, and water. The film was produced in collaboration with the Disney Conservation Fund with narration by Modern ABC's Family star Ty Burrell and original music by Oscar-winning composer Steven Price.

Beauty and the Beast

At the Palais du Cinémais des Pavilion in France, this 15-minute entertainment program is directed and produced by Don Hahn, producer of the animated and live-action film "Beauty and the Beast". This common song is narrated by Angela Lansbury, who played Mrs. Potts in the original film, and invites you to participate in a story as old as time.

Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360 

Explore Canada for breathtaking views of the Great White North with new sights, a new soundtrack by Canadian composer Andrew Lockington, and a new soundtrack in this latest issue of Epcot's classic narrative Circle-Vision 360° presentation by award-winning actress Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy.

Disney Hollywood Studios

An Amazing World of Animation

A new movie scene opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios last year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the special park. The show uses the latest in projection technology to take guests on a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation, all starting with Mickey Mouse!

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway

So can you believe Mickey and Minnie have never shown up running at Disney World? Now, that will change in 2020 when Mickey & Minnies Runaway Railway debuts. In lieu of The Greatest Movie Ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios Chinese Theater, guests will join the duo for a retro comic book-style attraction. 

Visitors embark on a delightful journey of imaginative twists and turns as the legendary couple tries to save the day with Goofy as an engineer. Guests can also look forward to the new original story and captivating theme song. In addition, this vehicle offers 2 ½ D, a revolutionary concept for dimensional supports that do not require 3D glasses.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Venture into this exciting new land and you'll find yourself in the Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu. Filled with rebels, villains, droids, and other galactic characters. Encounter unique restaurants and a galactic bazaar!

Star Wars: Millennium Falcon -Smuggler's Run

Take flight on Chewbacca's classic Millennium Falcon and sit in the cock-pit where you and your team of six will pilot this galactic craft on a mission.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Take an amazing journey into the hidden forest outside Black Spire Outpost. Here the Resistance gathers for a secret mission to take on the First Order. Encounter legions of stormtroopers and even face off with Kylo Ren! You'll have a team of Resistance fighters fighting to give you a chance to escape. An elaborate, thrilling, great adventure!
