Make Your Child’s First Trip to Disney an Event to Remember
Simply going to Disney World is exciting enough, but there are so many ways to take it up a notch and make it something truly special. One exciting option for parents of young kids is to get your baby’s first haircut at Harmony Barber Shop.
Located on Main Street U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom, this barber shop actually caters specifically to first haircuts. On the average day they’ll cut the locks of 10 – 15 kids, and provide an incredibly unique experience. Imagine the barber shops of yesterday, the ones you’ve only seen in movies. With the red and white pole and the huge smiles on the barber’s face, you’ll get it all.
For kids 12 and under, the price of a haircut is $15. For those 13 and older, including adults, the price is $19. You can also choose the My First Haircut Package, which includes tons of extras like a sample of your kiddo’s trimmed hair, a certificate of their first haircut, and embroidered Mickey Ears that say “first haircut.” If you’re going to get a haircut anyway, this package is certainly worth the extra $4.
Boys and girls can both get their haircut at Harmony Barbershop, but there’s another option geared mostly towards girls that can be a great choice. It’s called Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, and though your child’s hair won’t actually be cut, they will get a makeover that can even include a princess dress. This option varies in price based on which elements you choose to add, and it can be quite pricey.
There are just a few ways for you to take advantage of a little extra magic available at Disney. What are your favorite ways to make the time special for your little ones?
