Free Holiday Activities At Disney World
The holiday season is a fun and exciting time to travel to Disney! The parks are magnificently decorated with exciting holiday events, food, and attractions. Traveling to Disney during the holidays is also the most expensive time of year to go, so here is a list that will save you some money and give you free entertainment while on your Disney vacation.
Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail
Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail is a free attraction where you can walk through a beautifully decorated Christmas tree forest. Walk through this trail and you will find over 25 Christmas trees, themed after Disney movies and attractions. At the end of this trail, you will be able to meet Santa! There is also a scavenger hunt kids will love to do while walking through the trees.
Gingerbread House at Disney’s Grand Floridian
When you walk into Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort you will immediately smell the mouthwatering aroma of the large Gingerbread House. The charming, 17-foot tall Victorian-styled Gingerbread house is beautifully decorated and even has a baked goods store inside where you can buy sweet treats and gingerbread. While you are visiting Disney’s Grand Floridian, grab and hot chocolate from Gasparilla’s and plan to watch the Magic Kingdom Fireworks, this is the perfect spot to see them!
Yacht Club Train Display
Head over the Disney’s Yacht Club and view their Model Train display. This display is set up in the lobby of the resort. Kids of all ages will love watching the entertaining trains travel through the small town and you will recognize some of the names and places in this model town!
Beach Club Gingerbread Carousel
Located within walking distance from the Yacht Club is Disney’s Beach Club. Here you will find a working, three-horse carousel out of gingerbread. The carousel’s theme changes every year. Stop by and be mesmerized by the beautiful decorations and wonderful-smelling gingerbread.
