Disney World New Year's Eve Guide

With the holidays just around the corner, now is the perfect time to start planning your New Year’s Eve Disney Vacation. Ring in 2022 celebrating with a bang at The Happiest Place on Earth with your family and friends and make memories that will last a lifetime. This post will give you some information and tips on Disney’s New Year’s Eve events.

Don’t Miss the Fireworks

Fireworks shows and nighttime spectaculars are one thing Disney never disappoints. Disney does a countdown to the New Year and has fireworks at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios. Check out ahead of time which shows you would like to ring in the New Year.

The best way to see the fireworks is to book a Fireworks Cruise out of one of the resorts on Bay Lake or Seven Seas Lagoon. You will be able to take a boat out and take a tour of the lake and learn great information about Walt Disney World. This Fireworks Cruise comes with drinks and snacks and even has the music that goes along with the fireworks piped into the boat to go along with the show. If you cannot get a reservation for New Year’s Eve, Magic Kingdom does the same fireworks on December 30^th.

Make Sure You Plan Ahead

All Walt Disney World Theme Parks now require reservations to visit the park. Make sure to download the My Disney Experience App and make your reservation as soon as possible for New Year's Eve. It will be a busy day for people visiting the parks, so make sure you also use the app to make dining reservations ahead of time. Make sure you get to the park early, many years the Disney parking lot has closed at 10:30 am, so make sure you can take a shuttle to get there and get back to your Orlando hotel.

Take A Nap

The best time of day to visit the parks is in the morning because there are fewer crowds, but if you are going on New Year’s Eve you will want to stay until midnight. That will be a very long day. Head back to your off-property resort or vacation rental you have booked with us and take a refreshing nap to prepare for the nighttime events. Whether you spend your New Year’s Eve at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom you are guaranteed to have a night to remember.
