Disney’s New Cirque du Soleil Show, “Drawn to Life"
Drawn To Life Cirque Du Soleil At Disney Springs
Though a visit to Disney World is already one of the most essential things to do in Orlando, the famous theme park has just made itself even more attractive with the addition of its latest Disney Springs show: Cirque du Soleil’s “Drawn to Life.”
Like many other attractions slotted to open in the park, the event was originally scheduled to launch in spring 2020, but COVID-19 closures forced it to postpone its official release. Fortunately, the long wait is over, as the entertainment-packed show is now available for all members of the public to enjoy.
So, what makes this a must-have addition to your Orlando vacation itinerary? Stick around to find out!
What is the “Drawn to Life” Show?
As the name suggests, this release will feature a unique collaboration between three of the most successful entertainment teams in the world: Walt Disney Imagineering, Disney Animation Studios, and — of course — the spectacular Cirque du Soleil theatre group.
Disney itself has marketed the show as a “love letter” to the iconic history of Disney Animation through the art of theatre. Guests can look forward to gorgeous costumes, jaw-dropping acrobatic performances, energetic choreography, and even a few new animated characters provided by the Disney Animation team.
Combined, the show features 62 artists spanning 15 countries, such as Togo, Russia, Colombia, Peru, and Japan, bringing even more global joy to your Orlando vacation!
What is the Story of “Drawn to Life”?
Disney World is one of the most popular things to do in Orlando thanks to its commitment to a comprehensive storytelling experience, and “Drawn to Life” is no exception.
Presented through unique Disney Animation art and 10 incredible acrobatic acts performed by Cirque du Soleil performers, the show tells the story of a girl named Julie. After finding a letter from her father (also a Disney animator), she is led through a fun universe filled with animated sidekicks. Combining fan-favorite Disney characters with new creations, the inspiring event is guaranteed to be a delightful experience for the whole family.
