Disney will kick off Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary with "The World's Most Magical Celebration" on October 1, 2021. With new attractions, pyrotechnics, and dining experiences, this celebration will be a magical event! Anniversaries normally last one year, but Disney World extends the fun for 18 months giving everyone a chance to experience this once-in-a-lifetime vacation.
What’s to Come at Disney’s 50th Anniversary
The theme of Disney’s 50th Anniversary is "The World's Most Magical Celebration." The celebration colors are rainbow and iridescent. Disney has even made their name for it-EARidescent. Disney even has a new theme song that you will find throughout the celebration.
Nighttime Spectacular
Beginning opening night of Disney's 50th Anniversary, Disney has two new Nighttime Spectacular Shows to end your perfect day at Disney.
Even after a long day at the parks, you must stay to experience a late-night event. Disney Enchantment is a nighttime spectacular including fireworks and immersive projection effects that will go down Main St, U.S.A. and end at Cinderella's Castle. This show will be filled with friendship, love, and fun as this show inspires you to believe in the magic.
Harmonious will be the new firework show over World Showcase Lagoon at Epcot. Harmonious will have pyrotechnics, fountains, dazzling lights, and much more!
Beacons of Magic
Disney’s 50th Anniversary will light up as many theme park icons will be transformed into Beacons of Magic each night. The Hollywood Studios' Tower of Terror, Cinderella's Castle, Spaceship Earth, and The Tree of Life are just a few that will transform into Beacons of Magic. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, there will even be Enchanted Fireflies all over the park!
Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection
Across Walt Disney's four parks, you will find 50 Golden Character Sculptures. Disney announced there are ways you can interact with many of the statues!
New Attractions
Disney is in the process of opening many new attractions during their 50th Anniversary Celebration. Remy's Ratatouille Adventure at Epcot will open on October 1, 2021. The Gradians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride will be opening in 2022 in Epcot. It replaces Ellen's Adventure that had previously closed. Space 220
Space 220 is a new unique dining experience located in Epcot accepting customers starting September 30, 2021. Space 220, located next to Mission: Space, will look like you are dining in space, featuring modern American cuisine and out-of-this-world cocktails.
California Grill
California Grill is located inside Disney's Contemporary Resort and has the best Magic Kingdom firework views anywhere. They will feature a limited-time menu with items inspired by the restaurant's history that creates a new dining experience.
