Best Travel Tips For An Orlando Christmas

Best Travel Tips For An Orlando Christmas
Orlando theme parks like Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort experience the largest crowds at Christmastime. Here are our latest tips on how to prepare for an Orlando Christmas.

Make your vacation Reservations before Your Visit: There’re several Disney reservations to make in advance of your Disney vacation. After choosing your Disney World packages, reserve your Orlando hotel in advance. We recommend that you reserve accommodations near Disney World Orlando.

Remember all reservations, as well as your Disney World tickets, work together. (For example, you have a reservation for EPCOT Garden Grill Chip 'n' Dale Harvest Feast) Disney World Park Pass, Restaurant, and Experience reservations can be made through My Disney Experience.

Where to find Santa Claus: you will have no trouble finding him! Not only will Santa Claus appear in most theme parks, but he will also be the guest of honor at special Disney Christmas events in all destinations, and Mrs. Claus is there sometimes too.

Have breakfast before your arrival and bring snacks and drinks: we'll be happy to refuel in our Orlando hotel room or enjoy a buffet breakfast before heading to the park. Having a healthy breakfast can make lunch easier. The most frequently requested amenity in our hotels is free breakfast.

Get there early, stay late - The most frequently tried time-saving tip is to get there early, and this is especially true for the Disney World vacation crowd. Get to the Disney World parks about an hour before rope drop and hop in your favorite ride for the first hour or two before the lines get really long. If you stay in place, go for it!

Avoid hopping on busy days - hopping in the park during peak hours (crowds of 9 and 10) is not recommended, especially if this is your first visit. If the park has reached its maximum capacity, you will be denied entry.

Disney released Fall 2021 their Disney Genie App which is an itinerary that changes throughout the day based on crowds and rides availability.  There is an extra fee for the Lightning Lane in the app which replaced Disney's FastPass+ system. While this is no longer free to skip the lines, on Christmas, it is worth it so you can get on more rides with less wait time.
