Art of Animation Opens in Disney World
The opening of a new Disney resort is always cause for celebration--new places to stay, things to do and spots to explore. With the new Art of Animation, Disney is also offering a new opportunity for large families--the chance to stay in-site in a Value resort. The Art of Animation welcomes its first guests this week. In the past, if you wanted to spend less money at Disney World and still stay onsite you were out of luck unless you had a family of 4 of fewer adults and big kids. With a larger group, you almost had to choose a moderate (and few sleep 5 or more) or deluxe resort or villa. The Art of Animation changes that, offering kid friendly, affordable family suites modeled after some of your favorite Disney films. This hotel is a great value and one you should consider to adding to your Disney World vacation packages. After all, it is new, on Disney property, and in the value category.
The first stage of the resort has just opened, and the first families are checking into the Finding Nemo wing of the resort. It's too early for news about the food and transportation options here, but the resort itself is bright, colorful and packed with familiar characters and locations -- just check out the fun Nemo themed pool area: Check out the under the sea fun at the Art of Animation. You'll find shopping, dining and more at the Art of Animation, and guests staying at this resort will receive all the perks of staying on site, from free bus transportation to the parks to early park admission via the Extra Magic Hours program. You do need to be staying at a Disney hotel in order to get the Magic Hours added to your Walt Disney World tickets.
More stages are opening later this year, including areas themed to match the Lion King, Cars and the Little Mermaid films. Watch this space for more details, and book your reservations now for the Art of Animation resort.
