7 Must-See Attractions on Your Disney World Vacation 2017

There are so many things to do and see on your Disney World vacation, from the classics that have been pleasing fans for decades to brand new lands opening just in time for summer 2017 Disney vacations. Here are the seven must-see attractions we don’t think anyone should miss.

1.         Pandora World of Avatar at Animal Kingdom

The first must-see attraction is actually an entire land in Animal Kingdom. It opened in May of 2017 and is one of the most highly praised additions ever made in Walt Disney World. There are two new attractions in this land, along with incredible attention to detail in the land itself and three new eateries.

2.         Frozen Ever After at Epcot

Frozen Ever After, which is located in Epcot’s World Showcase, is a must not just for fans of the movie Frozen but of anyone who loves a slow, relaxing boot ride with incredible animatronics.

3.         The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in the Magic Kingdom

One of the newest rides in the parks is the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train located in the Magic Kingdom. Considered a family-friendly roller coaster, expect a super-smooth ride experience, a few twists and turns, and lots of great scenery.

4.         The Great Movie Ride in Hollywood Studios

This classic ride is not the most exciting ride at Walt Disney World but it is a great way to get in out of the heat. Board a large ride vehicle that slowly moves through some of the best movies of all time, with live actors and lots of action. Rumor has it that this ride is closing down for good in 2018 so if you want to see it, 2017 may be your last chance.

5.         Soarin’ in Epcot

Soarin’ has long been one of the most popular rides in all the parks but in 2017 it has a brand new movie and lots of upgrades. Even if you’ve ridden this attraction a hundred times, you’ll want to check out the upgrades on your next Disney World vacation.

6.         Kilimanjaro Safaris in Animal Kingdom

A Disney vacation wouldn’t be complete for animal fans without at least one ride on the Kilimanjaro Safaris. Ride in a large jeep through a variety of land types to see some incredible animals, including giraffes, tigers, and lions. We recommend going first thing in the morning to see the most animal activity.

7.         Everest in Animal Kingdom

For fans of thrill rides, it doesn’t get better that Everest. Not only does this rollercoaster travel faster and higher than any other roller coaster in Walt Disney World, but it even goes backwards! If you’re taking your Disney World vacation during a busy time of year, try out the single rider line at Everest to get to the front of the line much faster.
