6 Things for Dad to Do at Disney World

Who says Disney World is just for princesses? Many men assume that there isn’t much else to do besides meet Cinderella and ride a few themed rides, but the reality is that there’s a ton of stuff for dad to do, too. 1. The VIP African Expedition

For dads with an adventurous spirit, there’s nothing better than this VIP experience. They can check out exotic wildlife living in their natural habitat on a unique, private journey through the savannah. It costs between $189 - $249 per person, depending on when you book your expedition, and does require separate admission to the Animal Kingdom theme park. 2. Guided Fishing Excursions

There are numerous golf courses on Disney property, including 3 different 18-hole championship courses, plus a 9-hole walking course. For those who want to get their kids involved, consider one of the several miniature golf courses throughout the parks. Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf is a popular choice, because it was designed after a traditional golf course and includes sand traps, water hazards, and more.

4. Eat up!

Many people don’t realize that Disney World is actually a foodies dream come true. There are hundreds of restaurants and snack locations, including everything from casual BBQ to gourmet vitals. Get fresh, seasonal food at the incredible California Grill, try one of the best steaks in the world at Yachtsman Steakhouse, or have an incredible time at the kitschy yet comfortable Sci-Fi Dine In that plays old Science Fiction shorts while you dine in a room that perfectly replicates the drive in.

5. Visit the ESPN Club

6. Hit the lanes

If dad is a fan of gold old fashioned bowling, then he’ll love the retro-themed décor and lanes at Splitsville. This is a two-level structure with 30 lanes, life entertainment, balcony bar, and upscale food.
