5 Reasons Why Disney’s Hollywood is Perfect for Teens

When you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World with teens and tweens in the traveling party, you’re probably wondering which parks will offer the most fun and excitement for the older kids. While the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom do have some rides and experiences your typical teenager will enjoy, many of the attractions and sites at these parks are geared towards younger Disney fans. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one park that is sure to keep teens and tweens busy for an entire day. The park is home to dozens of Disney-themed top teen attractions and even some thrill rides that older kids will enjoy.

Hollywood Studios Theme Park Orlando Hollywood Studios is a great place for teens to visit!

Here are just five reasons why Disney’s Hollywood Studios is perfect for teens:

#1: High-Energy Shows
Disney’s Hollywood Studios isn’t just about rides and attractions. Teens will enjoy participating in some of the interactive, high-energy shows at the park throughout the day. One of the popular shows is Disney Channel Rocks!, an interactive street show choreographed to a high-energy Disney Channel soundtrack. It’s a fun live event that will have teens dancing and singing along like Disney Channel rockstars.
#2: Live Stunts
Two of the most popular stunt presentations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! And the Lights, Motor, Action!(R) Extreme Stunt Show. Both of these are great for teens interested in learning about filmmaking secrets and getting a behind-the-scenes look at how vehicle and movie stunts are created. These shows are scheduled every day and can be a welcome break from some of the rides at Disney parks.
#3: Shopping Opportunities
Teens who want to spend some of their travel allowance on souvenirs and collectibles can stroll down Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard to pick up movie memorabilia, Disney gifts, and clothing items. Popular shops at Disney’s Hollywood Studios include the Tower Hotel Gifts shop, Superstar Shop, Studio Prop Shop, and Rock Around the Shop. Head over to the Rock’n Roll Gear store on Sunset Boulevard for some music memorabilia and pick up movie-themed gifts and other items at Movieland Memorabilia.
#4: Fun Dining Options
Not all teenagers will be interested in dining with Disney characters during their Disney vacation. Disney’s Hollywood Studios offers a few fun dining experiences that are perfect for older kids in the traveling party. Head to the 50’s Prime Time Café for a classic American diner experience and enjoy a juicy burger, thick milkshakes, and other all-American favorites. The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is a replica of a 1950’s drive-in where guests sit in convertible-style tables and watch sci-fi movies on the big screen.
#5: Thrill Ride Experiences
Thrill rides aren’t for the faint of heart and many teens will be excited to ride some of the high-speed roller coasters and other thrill rides at this park. The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is great for teens who want to rock out to a special soundtrack as they ride at supersonic F-14 speeds. Star Tours is more of a computer animation adventure but is still a fast-paced ride. It’s a digital 3D experience they’ll never forget.
