5 Disney World Ways to Surprise Your Spouse on Your Anniversary

What better place to celebrate your love than at Disney World? When you visit for your anniversary, you’ll already be surprised by magic and wonder, but we’ve come up with some unique ideas to help you surprise your spouse on your special day.

1.         Surprise your sweetie with a spa experience

There are numerous spa options in and around Disney World. If you want to stick within the World, check out the Grand Floridian Spa. There you can get individual massages, facials, and even couple’s massages. Though you should know that it’ll come at a price! For those who want the full experience at a lower cost, look for choices in the Lake Buena Vista and Orlando area that are nearby but come with a lower price tag than Disney will charge.

2.         Perfectly time your dinner reservations

There are several places on Disney property where you can catch dinner with incredible fireworks in the background. The key is to time your reservation just right! Your options include California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Rose and Crown in Epcot’s World Showcase. You’ll need to first find out when the fireworks are happening on the night you’ll be dining, and then make reservations for around an hour before dinner. You’ll just be ordering dessert when your spouse will be startled and excited by the fireworks exploding outside the windows.

3.         Stay in for a night you’ll both remember

You may be thinking of grand gestures, but sometimes it’s the little things that are so surprising. When’s the last time you and your husband or wife spent a quiet evening alone together? Tell them you’re going out for a night on the town and both get dressed up in your finest attire. Then surprise them with flowers, chocolates, and a home cooked meal in your Orlando vacation home. You can cozy up in the Jacuzzi and enjoy the world to yourselves for a night.

4.         Take a horse drawn carriage ride by starlight

Is there anything more romantic than a horse drawn carriage? Book a ride for after sunset and sit back with your arms around each other and take in the glamor of the night. This is the perfect thing to do after the dinner you’ve taken them on, or it can be the evening in and of itself. After your ride, take a walk through the area you’ve chosen to take your ride in. There are numerous spots on Disney property that offer these rides, including Port Orleans Riverside and Ft. Wilderness. Both have plenty of great things to do and see before heading back to your resort.
